STRETCH OF THE WEEK:
Wall Leaning Gastrocnemius Stretch
This #stretch is best for Gymnasts, Rock Climbers, Trail Runners, Hikers, Or anyone else who finds they have tight calf muscles. All you need is a wall!
- First extend both arms out in front of you and place hands flat on the wall to brace yourself
- Place lead foot flat on the ground 1 foot away from the wall, and the back foot flat on the ground 1 foot behind the first with a straight leg
- While keeping your chest upright and keeping both heels pushed hard flat to the ground, lean your hips forward until you feel a stretch in the back legs bulk of the calf
- Hold for 20-30 seconds and repeat on other leg
