So many times my clients tell me that when they woke up they thought about canceling our workout for that day. However, after our workouts, everyone of those same clients tell me how happy they are that they didn’t cancel, and how great they feel about themselves. It is very easy to talk yourself out of exercising for that day, or that week, which can easily turn into that month, or that year. I myself even struggle to get into the gym and workout, even though it is in my own home. Or get out and run, even though it is right outside my front door. Most of the time I just have to get up and do it, and I have never regretted it once I am done. Sometimes the task of exercising seems daunting, but why? We are in charge or how long or how difficult we make it. The best way I can guarantee I don’t talk myself out of exercising is telling myself that simple fact and telling myself to just get started. Just like my clients, I am ALWAYS happy that I didn’t cancel my workout that day, and I ALWAYS feel great about myself afterwards. So, don’t talk yourself out of exercising, the only workout you will regret is the one you didn’t do!
